We were appointed by JH Turkington & Sons to carry out the enabling works, including the site services, drainage and substructure build up. This new state-of-the-art theatre was carried out in the live environment of the Musgrave Hospital, this project had an additional constraint, the area within the hospital where this new theatre was planned for, was originally a garden space opening, surrounded on all four sides by the existing hospital theatres and corridors. The elements of work within this development that we carried out were, the reduced level excavation, foundation excavation and pouring and the complete substructure build up including the floorslab. We also had to bring in the new drainage and services to the theatre, including upgrading the existing services within the area that we would be tying into. This required us to also upgrade the existing services and drainage network within the grounds of the hospital which serviced the theatre area.
