This project, is the upgrade of the 51km section of the M4 from Cranford Park to Theale to Smart Motorway includes the construction of 11 new overbridges and a five-lane motorway around Heathrow, from Junction 4 to 4b. It will also see concrete barriers constructed along the length of the project. Our involvement in this project was original as part of contract 1 section carrying out drainage works on the Eastbound verges, however as the project progressed we were requested to price and carry out further works to the east bound verge and central reserve on the projects contract 2 section. Within in the project we are carrying out a number of different elements of the drainage works, including carrier and filter drains, piped ditches, clearances of ditches, NFD drains, installation of headwalls, new chambers, re-vamping of existing chambers, ERA gullies and notch weirs etc.
