This project is the construction of the New Wear Crossing Bridge over the River Wear in Sunderland. The Bridge will stand at 100m Tall when completed. This project involved the creation of the new road infrastructure network linking into the New Bridge structure on the Bridges North-side.
Within this project, it involved large scale bulk excavations and filling of structural embankments, upgrading existing drainage and installing the new drainage networking to service the underpass and bridge crossing links, installing and making up the new road and footpath build ups including kerbing and drainage kerbing, installing new service ducting, street lighting, street signage.
This project also required the completing of several reinforced Earthworks Structures, one type was reinforced earthworks soil retaining walls structure for the bridge abutments, the other was the Tensartech TW3 Wall System either side of the underpass.
