ACS were contracted by JH Turkington & Sons to carry out the enabling works for the two new Pods, these were located at the end of the B&Q carpark on either side of the existing carpark entrances.  We were contracted to remove part of the existing carpark to create the site footprint of the new Pods, then carried out a bulk excavation to the pods area to get the site, followed by pouring the pad foundations & Slabs. Once we had the removals and foundations completed, we installed new drainage to service the pods, this included setup the storm drainage and new foul drainage to both pods, carrying out road crossings through the entrance way to link them up including working with NI Water to get the mains connected. We then had to bring in the new services to new Pods for street lighting, electric, mains water, gas & comms. We also carried out the sub-floor build up and floor slab to the Pods. Followed by the hard and soft landscaping works which included forming new roadways, drive thru’s, and footpaths, kerbing,etc and road build ups. We also installed the street furniture for the buildings by placing bollards and the like were required.
